Foreword

Caravelleís WebWATCHER 4.1 watches Web applications and SNMP agents. GlobalWATCHER 4.1 watches networks, Web applications and SNMP agents. This guide describes the WATCHER 4.1 product line for the Macintosh. Some parts of this manual will not apply to you if you only have WebWATCHER 4.1.

Before using this guide, you should familiarize yourself with the Macintosh. You should know how to perform basic Macintosh operations, such as using buttons and pull-down menus. You may want to refer to Apple's Macintosh User's Guide for more information.

This guide tells you how to install and use WATCHER. It explains how to select the devices to be monitored, how to customize your notification procedures, and how to perform network tests.
